    Hi,
I was wondering if there is a smart yet hidden solution to sort files "correctly" which contain number in its name?
    e.g.: I have
    ...
    m1s1_150.src
    m1s1_1501.src
    m1s1_1502.src
    m1s1_1503.src
    m1s1_1504.src
    m1s1_1505.src
    m1s1_1506.src
    m1s1_1507.src
    m1s1_1508.src
    m1s1_1509.src
    m1s1_151.src
    ...
I think you get my point.

So you want a numeric sort of the file names in the Explorer tab of the File Tree View as Microsoft explains in the knowledge base article Sort order for files and folders whose names contain numerals.

UltraEdit has currently no support for such a numeric sort of file names in the File Tree View. You need to write a feature request email to IDM support for getting it maybe in v15.00.
Best regards from an UC/UE/UES for Windows user from Austria

We're at 17.30.0.1014 still no joy.
          Just stating the obvious.

Well, this is a user-to-user forum as everyone can read at top of every forum page. Posting here a feature request has no effect on future versions of UltraEdit. It is necessary that users request a feature by email to IDM support. The more users request a feature, the higher the priority for IDM to implement the request. If nobody or just a very small amount of users request a feature or enhancement like this one, you will probably never see it in any version of UltraEdit.
