Shift+F10 not showing context menu in V12

Hi

In v11 I could launch the context menu with Shift+F10. After having installed V12 this does not work anymore. Does anyone have any ideas?

During beta test phase I required to list new key assignments in readme.txt, so users with many personal key assignments can more easily detect and fix duplicate assignments of a hot key to different functions after upgrade. IDM has done it and I also get the full list of new default assignments and functions for UltraEdit v12.00 and UEStudio v5.10.

I also required a tool or build in function for UltraEdit and UEStudio to scan the current key mappings and generate a text file with a list of all function names and their hot key(s) assigned. The customer support employees of IDM would like it too, which increases the chance to get such a tool or built in function in a future version.

Back to your problem:

4 days ago as I evaluated my key mappings after the upgrade I detect that not only the new default key assignments of UltraEdit are added to the key configuration file uedit32.kbd but also the new UEStudio key assignments. This is very interesting because the functions simply do not exist in UltraEdit. Some of the UEStudio key assignments have a function tip also in UltraEdit although the functions are not available. Other UEStudio key assignments have no function tip.

As I also have done 4 days ago you have to fix now the duplicate key assignments. Shift+F10 to open the context menu is something special because it is a Windows default hot key and not a function of UltraEdit. To get back Shift+F10 as hot key for opening the context menu you have to do following:

Open the key mapping configuration dialog and look for a function which does not have any key assignment.

Now assign Shift+F10 to this function. The existing assignment of Shift+F10 from UEStudio function BuildBatchBuild will be removed.

Now remove Shift+F10 from the UltraEdit function and close the configuration dialog with OK.

Because now no function is assigned to Shift+F10 anymore the context menu will open again with Shift+F10.
