Hi Guys,
I've had this problem with UE Studio where sometimes, when I open a "Find and Replace" window, I start typing and the caret jumps out of the input box and I end up editing the content of the file I'm working on. It's so annoying and I've finally figured out how to make it happen all the time.
Basically, it only does it when you switch to the file from another file using the tab header. I also think this might only happen because I've got lots of files open and they are all on a remote Samba server, so network latency might be causing the issue.
Here's how I can make it happen:
Have many files open that are on the network, Switch to another file by clicking on its tab header, then quickly press CTRL+F and start typing, after about 1 second the caret will move from the search input box into the file content.
Is there any chance that this can be fixed?
My guess is that UE Studio is probing the network and when it receives the result, it is activating the file without checking if a window already has focus.
It's a minor thing but when I'm in the zone, and it keeps happening, it's extremely frustrating
Thanks,
Andy
