Good news on this issue. This problem is fixed in UltraEdit version 15.20.0.1020. With ClearType disabled the GUI of UltraEdit v15.20.0.1020 is now perfect even when the 4 Segoe UI fonts are installed.
The GUI of the Office 2007 applications really depends on this font. There are rectangles shown in the symbol names on the Office GUI if an Office 2007 application is forced to use a different font than Segoe UI because the Segoe UI fonts are not installed.
