Hello. I am prospective customer looking at UltraEdit/UltraCompare/UltraFinder
When I started my professional life in the 80's I started using Brief and managed to stick to it till early 00's.
Then I switched to MultiEdit, which offered a "Brief Emulation" mode. All it did was to set up key mappings to replicate the now arcane way Brief used them. You could do it manually, but that saved time, especially for new users.
It is now time to retire MultiEdit and move to something more current. While the new features in UltraEdit will be great, it will be hard to re-train 35+ years of muscle memory.
Does UltraEdit come with a setup file that sets up the key mappings to emulate the old Brief editor?
Or, has someone done that privately and are willing to share the configuration files?
I know I can do this myself, but I do not want to spend a day configuring a software that I am evaluating.
Regards,
Hamid
