    Hi team,

I am having problem with syntax highlighting. None of highlight is working.
I tried to go Preference/Display/Syntax Highlighting and click open for language selection, but it doesn't do anything.
I also tried to change Highlight new file as and it only has "No Highlighting" on the list. Can someone shed light on this?

I am using Mac and using the latest version.

Does the directory /Users/samuelkin/Library/Application Support/UltraEdit/wordfiles/ exist at all and contains *.uew files which can be read with the account used by you?

I suggest to try opening one of the *.uew files via File - Open with using exactly (case-sensitive) the path as displayed in syntax highlighting preferences dialog window.

See also Adding Wordfile for Mac.

PS: This is a user-to-user forum as written at top of every forum page.
Best regards from an UC/UE/UES for Windows user from Austria

        Hi,

have the same issue every time when I install new version of UE.
        I made it that way:
        1. Go to the folder wordfiles (sometimes all files already in a folder called Backup, Date)
If not copy all files and place them into an other folder and name it "update wordfiles 2018" or whatever.
        2. Paste the files you copied into the wordfiles folder and
        3. select your favorite file over settings in UE.
Make sure UE is not running (command + option + esc).

Works for me... also on Mac.
