    Hi

Is there any way I can add a Key Mapping to Sort File Tabs. Sort File Tabs does not appear in the list presented under Configuration. Failing that how can I add Sort File Tabs to the Context Menu?

    thanks

Where is or what is "Sort File Tabs". I only have

File - Sort - Sort File (Using Current Options)
      File - Sort - Advanced Sort/Options

The appropriate names for these to functions in the comands list of the key mapping dialog are FileSort and FileSortAdvanced.

        Hi Mofi

If you right click on a file tab then the context file menu has Sort File Tabs as a menu option.

Aha! Something which I rarely use while editing is the mouse!

This function is not a general command for editing and so it is not available for key mapping. But every function which is available in a menu or toolbar can be added to a different menu or toolbar. How this can be done manually I have described at Artistic Format.

In your special case the *.pfg files are of interest for you. For example at Advanced.pfg near the end of the file you will find the line

          Code: Select all

          M "S&ort File Tabs", ID_SORTFILETABS
This line must be copied to the Edit popup menu above in the same file.

But it would be better to create a copy of Advanced.pfg and Advanced.mfg for example to MyMenus.pfg and MyMenus.mfg and modify MyMenus.pfg. Then select MyMenus at Advanced - Configuration - Toolbars / Menus - Management.

Thanks Mofi. Works like a charm. Now I can unplug my mouse and put it away in the drawer.

            cheers
