    Hi,

    I've noticed in V12's wordfile that there are entries for "Member String" and "Variable String" that I hadn't noticed before. The help file doesn't mention them, and the Syntax Highlighting portion of the Options dialog doesn't mention them, either (or I can't find them). Is there any documentation on how to use them? I expect that they are used for highlighting user-defined member functions/classes and variables?

    BTW, is there a way to search the forums for strings containing spaces, e.g. "Variable String"? When I tried that, it returned a post where "Variables" was written...

      You are right, "Member String" and "Variable String" are not documented anywhere. I guess, they are for UEStudio for the IntelliTips and class view browser. There is surely no use of it in UltraEdit.

      And searching for an exact phrase in the forum is really not possible. A search with Google with "Member String" site:www.ultraedit.com returns a single hit to one of my posts where I have copied the HTML syntax highlighting definition from UE v12.00. So it looks like nobody has posted something about these settings till today.

        Support was fast (thanks Andy!): Member/Variable strings are currently only for internal use, so there is no documentation available yet.
