There are several search strings I use on a regular basis, and would like a way to 'permanently' add them to the find list. Is there a way to add these to any config file that would not overwrite them with newer items in the list?
No, except you write protect your uedit32.ini by setting the read-only attribute on the INI file.
I suggest to record every search you often use into a macro with/without a hot key, save all these macros in 1 macro file and set this macro file for auto load. Then you can reuse the searches at every time with the macro hot keys or via the macro list.
Edit: Since UltraEdit v13.20 favorite find/replace strings are supported.
