worked for me also with good old method: took ownership of notepad.exe using takeown given full access rights to this file with cacls renamed original file, copy the older one. living happily ever after using noptepad replacement... ;)

Any new infos? I'm also interested in notepad replacement, also on windows 7 x64. tia, sely
