- Geez, I did another search for uedit32.ini and this time it found 5 files! One in the AppData folder, one in WINDOWS, one in Recent (in my personal folder), and two in My Computer. I deleted the one in WINDOWS and now everything is back to normal!Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- I emailed UE support to see what they would say. Does this sound plausible? I'll try it when I get home I guess: Hello John, Thanks for your response and the additional information. I don't know why it would have, but it sounds like the installation of this video game may have somehow corrupted the ...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Hi all. I just opened UE as usual and it is suddenly displaying as if I hadn't customized the settings at all. It looks like the default. It's out of position, toolbars are different, etc. What would cause this? The only thing that has happened is that when I installed a program, it tried to open an...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Thanks very much, but I think it would help if I saw some kind of example. I still don't understand the process involved here. I have the ctags.exe file in the GNU directory (so far so good). The options are already set in "Ctag Options", I assume the default is good enough. My taglist.txt file cont...Posted in Custom User Tools/Tool Configuration

- I saw a post with an almost identical subject, but the response didn't really address the question. I'm hoping someone can explain this to me (the UE docs are lacking). I've downloaded the latest version of Exuberant Ctags and put the .exe file in my UE directory. Then I opened the "python.c" file a...Posted in Custom User Tools/Tool Configuration

- Well, with all of the above settings, it works fine, *except* for the fact that output is not shown until the program is closed. I'm wondering if that's normal behavior, or if it should be shown immediately when output is produced.Posted in Custom User Tools/Tool Configuration

- HTML and XML tags are not autocompleted for me. But if it's supposed to, then how do I turn this on? ctags don't seem to be the same thing. I suppose ctags are for autocompletion of qualified objects, for example, and that sort of thing? Edit: I downloaded Exuberant Ctags but I don't know what I'm s...Posted in Custom User Tools/Tool Configuration

- I was a little confused by the description in the docs. Are ctags some kind of autocomplete function, or is it just for searching for tags in files? Also, if I want to add another taglist to my current taglist.txt file, do I just copy/paste it at the bottom? Do I need to remove the section that says...Posted in Custom User Tools/Tool Configuration

- Hi everyone. Is it possible to set UE so that you use spaces for tabs, but at the same time you can move across a tabwidth when you press Backspace, instead of having to individually press Backspace for each space? (i.e. backspacing will take you back 4 spaces if pressed immediately after a spot whe...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion
