- I can only add that (1) case sensitivity is a very basic feature of regular expressions that is present in practically all version of them. And (2) The user who is just switching from plain text to regex search is likely to read about the way they work, and will rather be surprised by them not worki...Posted in Find/Replace/Regular Expressions

- If you ever tried to use Perl regular expressions to search for an item in UE, you might have noticed that even if your regular expression specifically searches using case-sensitive tokens, the results may match words that do not match on the case-sensitivity. For example: If you search for " [A-Z]+...Posted in Find/Replace/Regular Expressions

- When working with an old Perl script I realized that it would be very useful if one could be able to fold a code block by initiating the folding from the last line of the block. From what I have been able to find out so far one can easily fold a code block when one can see the block first line as in...Posted in Editor Display

- Do you know if it is possible to move a file to a different directory and preserve the bookmarks that have been defined in that file? I know that you can do it by opening the file in UE and then saving it into the new location, but that process can be cumbersome when dealing with several files. What...Posted in Editor Display

- Prior to version 11 Ultraedit toolbar could be modified to include a button that when clicked would immediately change the syntax highlighting scheme for the current file. That setting was very helpfull, with just one mouse click you could adjust highlighting on files without extensions. Unfortunatel...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Most of my tools are configured to display output in Output Window (also called List Box). In version 10.10b this worked perfectly, but as soon as I switched to Ultraedit 11.10b running these tools does not display any output unless the Output window is anchored somewhere at the bottom of the screen...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion
