- I agree that I'd like to see this fixed... at the very least, they could pop up a simple alert that says "This action can not be undone.. are you sure you want to continue?" Granted, I don't like a lot of hand holding with alerts, but this is one case where it would be very helpful (if people really...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Shouldn't there be a way to do undo converting items to a bulleted html list? I selected a bunch of text and then selected the menu option "HTML Bullets," but then decided I wanted it back without the html bulleted stuff but couldn't undo it.Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Thanks Mofi! And thanks for all your other macros I found by searching the forum archives. (I did actually put a suggestion in to IDM concerning that I think at least the "remove blank lines in selected text" should be a standard formatting option. It seems to be a common question people have - and ...Posted in Macros

- Thanks Mofi, It works great! (Side note: I didn't 'SelectText' as an option in the help file under the macro commands under Help>>MacroMenu>>Edit Macros. Also is the 'SelectText' that you have bold above saying "Do the replace all in the selectED text?" SelectText sounds like a macro verb for 'DOING...Posted in Macros

Anyway, I'm looking over the macro options and have been searching the macro forum, but can't seem to find something simple... I want to run a macro (one tha...Posted in Macros

- Hmmm, isn't a macro file a collection of different macros? What I'm wondering is how do I execute the different macros I have in that file? It seems like I'm only able to execute the one macro that I see when I go to "edit macro." I must be missing something really simple, since I'm sure there is a ...Posted in Find/Replace/Regular Expressions

- Duh.. I just modified my redundant blank lines macro and this works: Top TrimTrailingSpaces Loop Find " " Replace All " " IfNotFound ExitLoop EndIf EndLoop Stupid question though... How do I quickly execute different macros? It seems like I have to load one up first before I can run one? Shouldn't t...Posted in Find/Replace/Regular Expressions

- I'm messing around with pspad (a very good free editor http://www.pspad.com/en/screenshot.htm) and one thing it has that I really like is two quick menu options that 1) Remove Redundant blank lines 2) Remove Redundant space The first one I figured out how to do with a macro I found while searching t...Posted in Find/Replace/Regular Expressions

- I know I can refresh the file explorer list by going up to the drive letter and right clicking, but this is a bit annoying when I'm deep into a tree on my C drive. I'd like it if there was a way I could add a "refresh" to the right click so that I can click on any folder and refresh the directoy. Is...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Although I like the "favorite files" option and a way to open a favorite directory from there, I still wish there was a favorite directories option like there is in jEdit... That is, what I'd really like is a way to quickly get to the favorite directories directly in the explorer window. Possibly a ...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Ahh thank you! I feel stupid now:) - although, not 'that' stupid, I would have never thought to look at a favorite "files" menu item to find favorite directories. Glad it's there though! Now, I'm sold.. I'll have to buy this editor.Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Using jEdit I can mark different directories that I visit quite frequently as favorites. I don't see a way to do this with UltraEdit and it's a huge time saving feature. Yes, there is a project set up, but you have to add files to the project. That's not really what I want. I have serveral different...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- +100000000 I'll pay whatever the cost to have UE on Linux. Yea, I know there is another thread on this topic, but I don't care I'm voting here. What is frustrating is I know that the UE Studio must have taken some time to develop, in the long run I bet more money would be made making the standard UE...Posted in UEX General Discussion
