Hmm, UPX compression offers nothing in terms of UE startup lag. Actually, upx increases app load time due to decompression overhead.

I should mention that I also upgraded to Vista at the same time I upgraded to v13, so maybe it's related to Vista, but I'd think it should still work. Although I cannot reproduce this problem right now, I'm aware of it. I've noticed that many times when I was editing UTF-8 non-latin files. BTW that never happens with other (single byte) encodings.

Unfortunately, Apache modifies file access timestamp thus UE detects that as a file-change event. The only fix is to disable UE "File Change Detection". As Mofi said, this is an old unfixed bug. Unfortunately both UE and UES have many more Unicode related bugs still existed in latest builds. Some of them have been reported by me, months ago, confirmed by IDM but still unfixed. I'm very very disappointed...

UE doesn't support it as a native mouse API call, it is SetPoint that emulates "autoscroll". Anyway I'm glad it works for you :)

Unfortunately this function isn't supported in both UE and UES.

Currently, there is no such an option in UE12. Many users, including myself, have suggested this to IDM and I hope it will be implemented really soon.

Bookmarks are stored in uedit32.ini or the project file if a project is open currently.

If you have another editor that supports extended (ISO) encodings then you can save your UltraEdit project as Unicode, import it from the other editor and finally change the encoding to whatever you want. Unfortunately UltraEdit doesn't support user selectable file encoding. I have to use a different editor for my web work, only because of this limitation. I've suggested this to IDM developers, many times. They've told me that will investigate the possibility of implementing this in a future update. ...
