- Thanks @johndjohnson that sounds like an interesting find. Have to investigate. I've occasionally been tempted to try one of the auto-- systems, but have always been stymied by the existential dilemma of "autohotkey or autoit?" :D Meanwhile, what I've done more recently is switch to routinely using ...Posted in UEStudio General Discussion

- re. "What exactly are you waiting for?" Well, gosh, something that made interfacing R & UE or UES a bit more straightforward. :D I'm pleased to see that since I last checked this thread- ~11 months ago-some nice suggestions from psycop and lascasas have appeared. For me these are positive, but more ...Posted in UEStudio General Discussion

- Wow! 2 years ago! You're right: not much interest in using R & UE. UE is my preference too and I'm a beginner with R. Did you ever find out any more about this or did you give up and switch to another editor.Posted in UEStudio General Discussion

- Thanks Mofi. Your suggestion of running the second UE using an alternate, customized uedit32.ini is the best solution to what I want. For some reason I'd not thought of that in this case--though I should have, recalling your posts on how to safely run two versions of UE for testing/comparison. When ...Posted in Macros

- I'm experimenting with viewing output listings in a 2nd instance of UE. I place a simple 2nd UE instance on another monitor and this has several advantages over the Total Commander lister I normally use. Can't seem to open the new instance in a macro, maybe this is not possible. Can I use a macro to...Posted in Macros

- The Comment info from the UE folks: "//" isn't really officially a comment for the wordfile, but it essentially works out this way when the wordfile is parsed. I'd have to check with the developers to see if I should clearly indicate this in the Help files, but in practice you would be correct to co...Posted in Syntax Highlighting

- Thanks for the help. Based on a quick test "//" did seem to work ok to comment lines in my wordfile. It may be an undocumented feature. I commented 1 and changed 1 line: ///C1"Operators" /C1"Oper-xx-ators" and indeed in "Advanced/Config/Syntax Highlighting" the Color Group list for the language chan...Posted in Syntax Highlighting

- Trying out UE32. Couldn't find this in help or forum search: :?: How are comments indicated in wordfile.txt? Or are they allowed? To be clear: I mean comment lines ignored when UE loads wordfile.txt; not refering to comments in languages described in wordfile.txt. TIAPosted in Syntax Highlighting
