It's been 18 months since the last post in this thread. I take it there are no updates for this, especially older versions?

Hrmm... I came here looking for a similar answer. But it seems now that it was trying to auto-saving unnamed files after the time limit. So I checked the "Do not auto-save unnamed (new) files" box under File-Handling/Backup (version 12.20b+1). My usual problem, PIBCAK.
