Sorry for the confusion, I meant that I closed the application. Got it working by going to "Configuration/Directories" and setting the "Default Directory" to C:\temp. The "Use default directory from shortcut on initial file open" does not seem to work for me. Thanks.

Hello, evaluating UltraEdit so just installed evaluation version 12+1 I went into Advanced/Configuration, then File Handling/Load and checked: "Use default directory from shortcut on initial file open" No other options checked on this page.
