doug I upgraded to v14.20 (actually 14.20.1.1001) and this cured the file change issue when comparing an FTP file. I'm sorry, i didn't see your post before i submitted the email to IDM support. If you haven't done so already, it might be worth you upgrading to see if it fixes your issue. PG

Thanks Mofi I've just done the upgrade to v14.20.0.1035 and tried the compare again with the same result. However, I should add that it's FTP files only that are marked as changed when doing a compare, local files are left 'unmarked'. PG
