- MANY thanks, Mofi. You've once again come quickly to my rescue! I wasn't sure where the problem lay, so after doing a search (which turned up nothing) and looking quickly at Editor Display to see whether perhaps that was the right section in which to post my question, I posted it in the General sect...Posted in Configuration/INI Settings

- I am having a serious problem when I try to print from UltraEdit 22.10.0.12 in Windows 7. I have word wrap set, and it works fine on the screen. However, when I try to print what's on the screen, the text doesn't wrap and long lines are cut off at the edge of the first line. For example, the followi...Posted in Configuration/INI Settings

- Many thanks, Mofi, for your very helpful reply. I think you've identified the problem. I had copied the text from a .doc file. When I went to a website and copied similar material, UltraEdit was able to show all the symbols. I tried first using the font Lingoes Unicode, and when that worked, I tried...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Many thanks, Mofi, for your most recent message. After reading it, I tried again and discovered that if I tried to paste just the musical note and the "unequal to" symbols, I was able to do so after changing from ASCII to Unicode and using Courier New, as you did. But if I try to paste something tha...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Thanks, Mofi, for your prompt and informative response. Alas, I could not get any combination to work. I tried converting the file from ASCII to Unicode and from ASCII to UTF-8, and I tried these possibilities with Courier New and with something called Lingoes Unicode, which was the only other font ...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- I am a longtime user of UltraEdit version 14.00+ 1, which I am currently using on Windows 7 64-bit. Recently, I tried to copy some words in Russian, Hebrew, and Chinese into UltraEdit. My clipboard manager had no trouble showing those words, but when I pasted them into UltraEdit, all I saw were ques...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- I am currently using UltraEdit 14.10.1.1001 on Win XP Pro. I am thinking of buying a netbook with Windows 7 Starter. Is version 14 of UltraEdit compatible with Windows 7? I tried searching the forum before posting this, but all the messages I found seemed to refer to version 15. Version 15 has no ne...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Thanks very much, Mofi, for your clear and helpful explanation. Though I'm disappointed to learn that there's not much I can do about UE's help files opening in IE, I'm glad to understand why that's happening and that it's not the fault of UltraEdit.Posted in Custom User Tools/Tool Configuration

- How disappointing! :( I'm using UltraEdit for Windows 14, and it apparently has the same problem of being hardwired to IE, at least in its help file. When I click on URLs in the help file (e.g. on https://www.ultraedit.com/downloads/extras/wordfiles.html ), they open in IE in spite of Firefox's bei...Posted in Custom User Tools/Tool Configuration

- I occasionally want to shift between single, 1 1/2, and double spacing. I know I can do that by going into the View menu and choosing "Spacing," but I'd prefer to have this possibility available on my toolbar. To my surprise, when I went to add this to my customized toolbar, I couldn't find a comman...Posted in Configuration/INI Settings

- Mofi, Vielen Dank! Following your instructions, I changed the Regional and Language setting in Control Panel to Spanish (Mexico) and made the same change in System Installed Locales. System Installed Code Pages automatically changed to 1252 (ANSI - Latin I), and those changes enabled me to do the ki...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Thanks very much, Mofi. I'm sure you're right, but although I selected Use Locale, I couldn't find settings in Advanced --> Set Code Page/Locale that would do what I needed. I frankly don't understand why there were a dozen or so different settings for Spanish (under System Installed Locales), nor w...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- I'm using UltraEdit 12.20b on WinXP Pro with SP2. I would like to sort a list of Spanish vocabulary words in alphabetical order. I have no trouble doing this except when the Spanish word begins with an accented letter, such as ándale or últimamente. UltraEdit puts words with accent marks at the bott...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion
