- Hi! I am on Ubuntu 9.04, and the .deb of the Beta installs fully automatically, with the .deb package manager, and even adds UltraEdit to the Programing group under Applications. Perfect! I just linked the Beta III to my gFTP client as the editor, and it launches fine. However, WAH! I don't see th...Posted in UEX General Discussion

- Yeah, that's OK, but I'd rather not have to hack my environment, or record macros to perform a basic function. I don't live in UltraEdit, I just try to use it to get things done, so it's not like a hobby where I enjoy cobbling together bits of macros. If you are concerned about menu space, Edit Book...Posted in Configuration/INI Settings

- jorrasdk, Your analysis and reply were PERFECT, thanks. Yes, Delete Bookmarked lines was what I was looking for, hopefully without writing a macro. I will save the macro you've provided for future use. How do I submit Delete All Bookmarks as a feature request? Probably like that other editor, Edit-D...Posted in Configuration/INI Settings

- Hey All! Any non-insulting ideas why I can't seem to find a simple thing like "Delete all bookmarks/lines" in 12.20? Is it fixed in 13.00? I remembered that this was easy in Textpad, but the regexp was not quite as easy. Anyway, I had to download and install Textpad, and I hate going back, that's wh...Posted in Configuration/INI Settings

- I'm probably just dense, but I still don't understand... you mean that you want to run the diff/merge/whatever program on a server, but you can't run command-line programs on the server, only GUI programs? No, is that even possible? Maybe If I had X-Window access, maybe? I don't have SSH access to ...Posted in Folder Compare and Merge

- I just meant that I can't run the native diff command on the two sets of file, as they are, in place, on the server, because I can't get to a command prompt. FTP is easy, I use SmartFTP, mostly. I've produced a patch file with WinMerge, but can't find a way to apply it. The format doesn't appear to ...Posted in Folder Compare and Merge

- Yeah, I was thinking diff, but most of my hosting, I don't have command line access...hmmm....maybe I could actually use cron to feed in the diff command.... Anyway, the SourceForge project seems to have no released files, but this did remind me that there was a product called WinDiff at one time......Posted in Folder Compare and Merge

- Thanks for the tip, Mofi. I installed and spent some time with Total Commander. I found that it doesn't do FTP to FTP syncs, which someone in this thread seemed to want. The FTP to local sync, and the time/datestamp issue workarounds are pretty impressive. Thanks for the tip, Mofi. I am still lookin...Posted in Folder Compare and Merge

- " Hello Ken, Thanks for your message. Sorry, I'm not aware of an easy way to do what you have described. If you do a Folder Compare in UltraCompare you can create a Result file that would show the differences between the compared directories, but this wouldn't create a "patch set" that you could use...Posted in Folder Compare and Merge

- Noobish question... A) I have a base file set of OSCommerce 060817, say. And I want to add in a new payment module (some hacks), one time, and generate some kind of script that will apply those same hacks to a future version or installation of OSCommerce. Is this possible? The PDF file with the hack...Posted in Folder Compare and Merge
