- Seems like Norwegian Bokmål is not installed on a Mac even if I selected Norwegian under language settings. It's a small country so you are probably right it's not that common combination :) I tried to Google, but seems like there is no official way to install nb_NO on a Mac manually. Seems like the...Posted in UltraCompare General Discussion

- Okay, I read the links you posted and i guess the solution could be simple. If I copy the no_NO folder to nb_NO that might solve the problem. The only problem is El Capitan and SIP (rootless feature) that won't let me make changes to that directory. In that case i would have to disable SIP make my c...Posted in UltraCompare General Discussion

- Actually most of them are not set. It looks like this: LANG= LC_COLLATE="C" LC_CTYPE="UTF-8" LC_MESSAGES="C" LC_MONETARY="C" LC_NUMERIC="C" LC_TIME="C" LC_ALL= And as you said there is no nb_NO directory. I do have a "nb", "no" and a "no_NO" directory, but no "nb_NO". This goes for all of my Mac's s...Posted in UltraCompare General Discussion

- Every time I start UltraCompare on a Mac running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 there is a popup that says "Locale nb_NO cannot be set". I had this problem for a long time also with previous releases of El Capitan (10.11.x) so this is not a new problem after the last update. OS X is setup with English lang...Posted in UltraCompare General Discussion

- What is your experience. It's a bit better but still too slow to enjoy the tool. A lot better, but there is still a lag. No other applications I use (Word 2011, Textmate, BBEdit and others) got this kind of lag on my Mac. Not sure why IDM is unable to create a text editor for Mac without such a lag...Posted in UltraEdit for Mac General Discussion

- Oh... So I guess we can move this topic to the "What functionality should we add to UEmac ?" ;) Yes i guess so:) Many people been waiting for UEM because they would like the same editor on their Mac as well, but even if it's UE for Mac it's currently another product with regards to the features. UE...Posted in UltraEdit for Mac General Discussion

- I installed 2.0.0.3 and didn't notice any difference or it's too little to notice. I see the same kind of slowness as 2.0.0.2. Anyway my evaluation will end in 5 days so i guess i won't be able to try UEM much longer and for me it's not worth buying at the moment. -gannPosted in UltraEdit for Mac General Discussion

- I tried to stop all background tasks and software running in the background. I also tried to change different settings in the OS, but it didn't make any difference so not sure what is causing this problem on my Mac for this application only. gannPosted in UltraEdit for Mac General Discussion

- Would someone be willing to try the following to see if they have the same issue? Open a new file. Type 123 characters on the first line and hit enter. Do the following until you have 8,192 lines in the file: Command+A Command+C Command+V Command+V Once you have all those lines, try doing Command+A...Posted in UltraEdit for Mac General Discussion

- I didn't say it was consuming resources... I said something might be in conflict..... And I hope you are sending all these notes directly to IDM, otherwise they won't know about your issues. You said "Maybe fire up "Activity Monitor" on your and his machines and see what is consuming more or less r...Posted in UltraEdit for Mac General Discussion

- Just to add some more info. I tried UEM on a brand new Mac Mini (the 2.4GHz CPU model) with 8gb of RAM and a 160gb Intel SSD. For background tasks which is not default included with the OS i got AirVideo, SnagIt, Dropbox, TeamViewer and StuffIt. I also use spaces which is part of the OS, but not ena...Posted in UltraEdit for Mac General Discussion

- I have to add that i see some of the same behavior as well and have a Intel X-25 G2 160gb SSD with more than 100gb free space so that should not be a problem. While i type using UEM i can easily see some delay and it's very easy to see if typing a lot of random letters very fast and it will continue...Posted in UltraEdit for Mac General Discussion

- No problem, glad to hear it's working. You can also use the dos command "takeown" to take ownership of files and then you can create batchfiles instead of doing this manually that can be helpful some times. "takeown /?" should show you some instructions how to use it. Cheers GannPosted in Configuration/INI Settings

- I'm not sure why the file is replaced by the original notepad.exe after a reboot. I presume you replaced both "windows\notepad.exe" and "windows\system32\notepad.exe" and not just one of them? I did some research and couldn't find anything that can explain why the original notepad.exe where restored...Posted in Configuration/INI Settings
