- You also might try launching a command prompt and from the install folder type: Regsvr32 UC_ShellExt07x64.dll to unregister and then reregister the dll. Yep, this one did it, thanks! :DPosted in UltraCompare General Discussion

- We will support this in the future, but I am not sure exactly when this will be available. Well, lemme attempt an answer: that'll most likely happen just in time for the next Windows release  (By "next Windows release" I mean whatever comes after Windows 7, of course.)Posted in UltraCompare General Discussion

- Well, okay, last time I checked the issue had been solved in Vista :D . So it seems that with Windows 7 we're back to square one: no context menus :( . Is anyone getting context menus with explorer.exe x64 in Windows 7?Posted in UltraCompare General Discussion

- You could use the UC shell extension (select both files in Windows Explorer and then run Ultracompare from the (right-click) context menu) so it will load both files right from the start. Myeah, no need for UC: go about comparing hashes.Posted in UltraCompare General Discussion

- If there is something still not working report it by email to IDM support. Installed the 5.10+3 hotfix, will be testing the "timestamp" issue soon. I am, nevertheless, still not getting right click UC menu options, though I'm sick and tired of reporting it. Whatever. (Am I the only one who's bother...Posted in Folder Compare and Merge

- Alright, here's another chapter, hopefully the last one, in the "non-IDM developer, amateur debugging/diagnosing UC context menu issues" saga. There are two explorer.exe files, one in the root of the Windows folder, and another one in the SysWOW64 subfolder. Interestingly enough, the one in the SysW...Posted in UltraCompare General Discussion

- Installed v5.10, still no context menus. If that's such an intractable issue, why do they keep advertising it as a feature? Why not just drop it? Anybody else experiencing this?Posted in UltraCompare General Discussion

- IDM has some kind of bug when UAC is disabled in Vista. I am also waiting for this to get fixed. "Disabled"? My UAC has always been enabled. Anyway, I just downloaded and installed the latest (5.00b) version after a clean Vista (re)install, however I still got no UC context menu entries... :( :(Posted in UltraCompare General Discussion
