- Hi all Recently in UE I started a search in files (including subfolders) by a stupid mistake and ended up getting more than 20k results in 4k of files. Not just the searching took ages, even the displaying took quite a long time  Is there any keyboard shortcut where I can abort such a mistaken ...Posted in Find/Replace/Regular Expressions

- Thanks a lot Mofi! Checking with your procedure, I found that UE is looking for UETMPLTE.TPL in the folder C:\Program Files\IDM Computer Solutions\UltraEdit instead of the installation path C:\Program Files (x86) \IDM Computer Solutions\UltraEdit . Adding these folders manually and adding an empty U...Posted in Configuration/INI Settings

- Hi Mofi, and thanks a lot for your explanations. But it seems something weird is going on here on my Windows 7 x64. I do have a folder "templates" in %AppData% \IDMComp\UltraEdit\ and another one in C:\Program Files (x86)\IDM Computer Solutions\UltraEdit\ . While the one in %AppData% (there would be...Posted in Configuration/INI Settings

- Hi deadprez This works only when the server is in your LAN, but I'm talking about a server outside. It is also not always possible to use a static IP, so the "ListenAddress" wont help in that case. FoTo50Posted in FTP/SFTP / SSH/Telnet

- I use UE many times to also change config files on my root server and thatfor open files via SFTP - SSH2 as root (using putty keys) many times. Due to my efforts to secure the server as much as possible, I would like to disable root login via SSH but then I lock myself out to open those files with U...Posted in FTP/SFTP / SSH/Telnet

- using Regexp's in the wordfile would still be nice (or maybe they exist and I just dont find them in the manual). E.g. colour values: #[0-9a-f][0-9a-f][0-9a-f][0-9a-f][0-9a-f][0-9a-f] tried that but doesnt work  ** # would highlight the colour value but would not check for a valid value (#00gg0...Posted in Syntax Highlighting
