- Thanks for the help, Mofi! I've gotten into the habit of doing a Format>ANSI to OEM after a lot of cut and paste. It works a treat, and I don't have to deal with Unicode characters. Thanks, again! MaryPosted in Editor Display

- You can rename files and folders. Right-click the file/folder you wish to rename, and select "Rename" from the contextual menu. I hope that helps a little. MaryPosted in Projects/Workspace

- Hi, Chuck. The on-screen ruler isn't really as much a "ruler" as a column marker. Each marking indicated a column taken up by a character. The spacing changes depending on the font and font size you're using. Remember, UE is a code editor rather than a word processor. Hope that helps.Posted in Editor Display

- I'm getting the same results. Our office has an open connection. Do you know if it uses a different port for connection or has the link in a user-configurable method? Thanks for the original response!Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Hi, neekolo. Mine are similar to yours, along with a few for special text file stripping. There are a *ton* of users who have some truly magnificent macros...mine rarely are more than 20 lines in length. Keep up the good work!Posted in Macros

- I'm sorry to rehash this if it's already been discussed. I did a search in the Forums and just didn't see any solution. I'm working on an HTML project with most text coming from Word. Unfortunately, text I copy from Word and paste into UE doesn't display some characters. For example, "curly" apostro...Posted in Editor Display

- Without fueling any HTML vs. JavaScript fire, you could set up a JavaScript to build your TOC on-the-fly. Trying to keep a TOC up-to-date was a nightmare...I'm sure you've run into the trials and tribulations of that by now. If you decide to go down the JS road and need a little help, e-mail me off-...Posted in Macros

- I can help you with adding the snippets, sfordin. Create a User Template with the snippet you want to reuse. Make a note of the number of your User Template. Right-click the HTML toolbar and select Customize Toolbar... Find the HTML ToolBar in the left pane, and select the item you want your snippet...Posted in Configuration/INI Settings

- Good day, luzzel. I've had consistent results by doing the following: - Ensure the commands in the SQL block of your wordfile.txt are in uppercase. - Remove any Nocase in the SQL language definition block. - In the Syntax Highlighting tab, select the SQL language and enable Auto Correct Keywords. - It's been a while since I used that version, but I believe there's a command in the Macro menu for "Load and append to existing...". It appends the contents of another macro file to the one currently loaded. Make sure you save your macro file after doing this: something I learned the hard way. :wink:Posted in Macros

- I'm using UE 11.10+2. In the Attributes section of the HTML block in my wordfile.txt I have the attribute "selected" (without quotes). However, it doesn't display properly unless I place a space or "=" after it in the code. Is there some way to make it display properly? Thanks!Posted in Syntax Highlighting

- Make sure you get your wants/needs known by IDM. Send a message to support@idmcomp.com and let them know. In the meantime, is there an external tool for XML (in the same vein as HTMLTidy) you can set up as a tool in UE?Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion
