- Hi everybody, I don't know what I do wrong, but I need the opposite of what I needed some years ago. Find text AAAAA only when in the next 10 lines is a BBBBB . I could paste the examples I tried, but it could lead you in the wrong direction. So I ask without my examples. lala xyz AAAAA abc bla blub...Posted in Find/Replace/Regular Expressions

- Just a small adoption to Mofi's script. It finds the first quoted string after the cursor, no matter if it's double quoted or single quoted. So for me it works in PL/SQL and in Basic and in C and ... "bla" or 'blub' or "blub's bla" will be highlighted and length will be displayed. Give it a try. :D...Posted in Scripts

- Servus Mofi, I made the update via menu. Funny, see attachment. So I will report both issues to IDM and report later here. Thank you, Bego [Edit: Reported to IDM. Also: Error still in .1017]Posted in Editor Display

- I also found a display issue in 15.20.0.1016 (on Win 7 pro 64 bit) that is strange, but does not fit to other reported bugs yet. If I let run a simple macro that also deletes lines, these lines do not disappear after macro has finished. Sometimes they go away after setting the document active by mou...Posted in Editor Display

- Just a small addition: If the lines were NOT all in the same length, do what Mofi said at the rightmost position you want and then do a regular perl regular expression replace: [ \t]+([0-9]+) with: $1 (blank dollar one) This kicks off all spaces/tabs before the numbers except one space, assuming yo...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Just wanted to add: in other languages this might be somewhat else, e.g.: key Alt , key Space , key V (German: V erschieben). You see it when you do a key Alt and key Space in a window that can be seen. Just look for "move" in your language and take the character that is underlined.Posted in Editor Display

- There is the option to use "persistent selections" (Edit menu). As far as I know, it is not possible in macros. (It does not record it). But I made it to jump to the beginning of a persistent selection by pressing ctrl+LMB at the start of the selection. see online help about it: "The anchor point fo...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Hi Tim ! I tried it out but it did not find anything. So I reduced the problem a bit and cut out the " that I THINK are wrong and came to something like this: AAAAA.*\r\n(?!(?:(?:(?!XXXXX).)*$\r\n){10}) I tried with these test lines and found both AAAAA lines instead of only the first occurrence in ...Posted in Find/Replace/Regular Expressions

- Hi all, I try to create a Perl regexp search to allocate the spots in files that contain a line with the string ".ObjekteListe().Rows" that is NOT followed by "obj.ObjektFuerBesicherung" anywhere in the next 10 lines. Can this be done with one regexp? Or do I need to write a fat macro? Thanks for an...Posted in Find/Replace/Regular Expressions

- Hallo Mofi, A fat Danke towards Austria from me. I made a mistake in my regex, which was just too complicated.... Thanks you! Yes, Perl regexp is really cool. But when I think I understood everything, after some weeks some rework must be done to get back on track ;-) Regex-Buddy is also an awesome h...Posted in Syntax Highlighting
