BTW, could you mind explaining your scripts below lines: var rSearch = new RegExp(asDefinitions[nDefinition][0],'g'); var nCount = (asMatches != null) ? asMatches.length : 0; var sSearch = '^(<' + asDefinitions[nDefinition][1] + ' count="^)[0-9]+'; var sReplace = '^1' + ...Posted in Scripts

- I'm trying to write a script which will count the number of occurrences of different strings and put the count values to certain tags in the file. Sample text: <counts> <fig-count count="8"/> <table-count count="6"/> <equation-count count="10"/> <page-count count="1"/> </counts> </article-meta> </fr...Posted in Scripts

- Well, the link format is <xref ref-type="display-formula" rid="deqn#">...</xref> and that is the only format applicable in my files and I've modified the script regarding this and seems to work fine, except for cases when there are no parenthesis inside like <xref ref-type="display-formula" rid="deq...Posted in Scripts

- Hi Fleggy, Is there an alternative for the expression [^<>]*+ as my old version of UE which I use for my work is showing invalid regex. I think the *+ portion is the main issue though. Thanks in advance. :mrgreen:Posted in Find/Replace/Regular Expressions

- Hi fleggy, Is ++ required in the expression \.\u++ , I only need to find if a upper case letter is immediately followed by a dot and what immediately follows that letter is irrelevant. So, I used \.\u(?=[^<>]*+(?!</given-names>|</uri>)) in the sample that I posted on this topic and it seems to work....Posted in Find/Replace/Regular Expressions
