- I did a full install of MinGW, using UEStudio 12.10, and once I change the compiler option to g++, it compiles, supposedly, with no errors, but the program runs, exits, and does nothing. I copied the program from the initial post just to be sure there are no errors. It simply isn't working with MinG...Posted in Build / Compile / Debug

- I have started work on a C++11 wordfile. Before I go to the trouble of completing it, I thought I'd check and see if anyone else has already done the work on it, or at least find out what others think should be included in it. I have started out with the c_plusplus.uew that comes with UltraEdit 18.1...Posted in Syntax Highlighting

- I'm not sure what the file extension is for HL7, so I used HL7 for the file extension. You can modify that as needed. I have created a HL7 wordfile to get you started, which includes all message, segment, and field keywords. I have created a separate group for the "|" in order to help it stand out. ...Posted in Syntax Highlighting

- There is not currently a syntax highlighting file for HL7, as HL7 is not intended to be edited by hand, as this would prove quite inefficient for the health care industry. HL7 Messages are intended to be be manipulated using the HL7 Tools. If you are needing highlighting for HL7 because you wish to ...Posted in Syntax Highlighting

- It handles [DOS Dir] (at the same time as [DOS Execute]), but does not handle [Win Execute] and [Win Dir]. It also does not handle [Recent Solutions] or [LastFileStreams]. As far as the INI entries that "remember just a last string", I made a conscious effort to exclude those. Flipped a coin to deci...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- While those are some good suggestions, and I had actually originally planned to implement this program as a tabbed feature of a future version of UE Companion and have all those features available, the idea behind this is a simple layout to give IDM some ideas on how to make minor changes to their p...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Wow! This is being better received than I thought! Sure am glad I'm not alone in being the one who opened the INI file to manually clear only certain things in the past. You missed the file code page history stored in group [File Code Page] . Open any file, use View - Set Code Page , select a differ...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- I am donating a new tool to the UltraEdit community. There have been a number of times that I wanted to clear my search and replace history without clearing my file history with UltraEdit (well, UEStudio, actually). This just isn't possible. If you clear one thing, you clear everything. So I am intr...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion

- Perhaps no one has submitted the C# templates as of yet. I'll send it in, perhaps they will be included in the next version of UEStudio. Until then, they are now available here.Posted in IDE (Class Viewer, IntelliTips, ...)

- I have created 3 templates, and zipped them up for you. They are attached. You can take a look at the templates, and they will show you how to make more. Extract these files to your UEStudio\projects\Visual Studio 2010\ path.Posted in IDE (Class Viewer, IntelliTips, ...)

- You are correct that there is no "template" for Visual Studio 2010 C# projects. Templates can be created by you, however. What you need to do if you want to start a project with C# is the following: P roject -> N ew Project/Workspace -> Create N ew Project (Don't Create project using templates!) - Strange... after reading your post, I checked that in UE 18.10.0.1016, and saw the same behavior. However, in UEStudio 12.10.0.1003, which is supposed to be a superset of UE 18.10, the mouse does not jump with the tab. Instead, the tab, while still snapping, does not snap until the mouse has progres...Posted in Editor Display

- I don't have UE 17, but UE 18.10. My information, is of course for 18.10, but I believe it works that way on 17 as well. When you set up a project, you can specify an optional wordfile for syntax highlighting for that project. If you set up each directory as a separate project, you should be able to...Posted in Syntax Highlighting

- I use Firefox exclusively and never use Dundernet Destroyer, uh, I mean Internet Explorer, so perhaps that explains why I have never had this copy/paste issue that you have. Perhaps it is something specific you do in IE, or a particular website that you visit using IE, that is the culprit? There co...Posted in UltraEdit General Discussion
