I really like UEx, but I can't use my SFTP/FTP bookmarks from KDE. They are added via Dolphin, but UEx only shows local places (from nautilus?). I don't use nautilus and don't wan't install it

Is there a way to add remote connections? sftp://xxx:xxx@xxx don't work in the location field.

This looks like a bug, I also tried to use dolphin or konqueror, you can actually define the file manager in preferences but only nautilus works. Just report it

No, in the nautilus open dialog an URL doesn't work as it would in nautilus directly. You may consider the option to mount the sftp directory or just use the method of the power tip.
