UltraEdit would be the one application I would be willing to install Wine for.

Has anybody here any experience with running UEdit under Wine?

(For those who don't know, Wine is a Windows compatibility layer for Linux.)

I have had a lot of trouble getting v10.xx to work (apparently it works - see http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?app ... cbd96aa232) but 9.20b works like a charm. Just run the install then run uedit32.exe as normal. My box is running gentoo on kernel 2.6.8-gentoo-r3 with wine 20040408.
