Hi. I've got ultraedit set to 80 CPL, so that it automatically breaks lines for me -- this is very useful. What I'm wondering about, is: is there a way to center align text while using this setup?

Like, marking the text and clicking a button/menu option? Centering works if I mark the text I want to center in Column mode, but once I access colum mode, Ultraedit stops breaking lines automatically. Is there another way to do this`?

First specify at Format - Paragraph Formatting - Paragraph Setup/Formatting the margins you want.

Then you can use Format - Paragraph Formatting - Center Align to reformat the current paragraph or the current selection centered.

Attention: This command also removes single line breaks and re-wraps then the lines again and does not only center the selected lines. Read help for more details.

It is not possible to center the text while you are typing. UltraEdit is a text editor where centering text means inserting/removing spaces on the left side. You can't compare it with a word processing application which stores only the text and additionally the property, that the text should be centered between the current margins.
