    Has anyone else seen this similar behavior? I never had issues when using 16.x and older versions. The tool will literally become unresponsive for up to several minutes at a time and seems to be occurring fairly frequently for me. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I'm using version 17.00.0.1030 on a Windows XP x64 machine.

      I've reported a similar problem to IDM support, and they told me they had a number of reports. I used Process Monitor from Sysinternals to track what it's doing when it stalls as I noticed my HDD light on continuously when it happens, and it shows it looping doing file cleanup and close repeatedly on the same file. They've acknowledged the problem and are working on it. Hopefully fix not too far off. Using 17.00.0.1030 on a Win7 X64 system.

        Yes I'm getting this too.
        'Not responding' hangs for 30 secs to 1 minute, every 10 minutes or so.
        No particular action seems to trigger it. Something going on under the hood.

        Also using UltraEdit v17.00.0.1030 on a Win7 X64 system.

        Sometimes I am grateful for the automatic pauses in the day, stretch out, switch to email, get a drink, etc.
        But now getting frustrating when you got some logic in your head that needs to get out and you have to just 'pause'.

          According to list of changes on UltraEdit hotfix page this problem is fixed in public hotfix release 17.00.0.1041.
