    - I have a text where lines 48 and 49 are longer than approx. 4100 chars and which are wrapped into the second line
    - I want to remove the numbers 159-162 in the following lines 50-53
    - I set the cursor in line 50 between " and 159
    - I expand the select 4 lines down (until between " and 162)
    - I press "delete" - 1 is removed four times, the selection is expanded upwards to line 49
    - I press "delete" - 5 (1x) and 6 (3x) is removed, chars from line 49 are deleted too, the selection is expanded upwards to line 48
    - I press "delete" - 6 chars from lines 48 to 53 are deleted

I could reproduce this column mode issue with UltraEdit for Windows v26.10.0.30 and v26.10.0.38.

UltraEdit for Windows v26.10.0.72 was released on 2019-07-18 with following information among others:
      • Addressed column mode issues
I could not reproduce this issue with v26.10.0.72 on using same file and doing same column editing. Column mode editing works for this use case also with currently latest v26.20.0.46.

So the issue is known and fixed already as can be proved in newer versions of UltraEdit than the version used by you at the moment. I recommend to ask IDM support by email for installer of German UE v26.10.0.72 if your license is not valid for upgrade to v26.20.0.46.
