My registration information (registration name/authorization code) doesn't work with the new Ultra-Edit 13.10 version. We have a 3 user license upgraded for free from the version 12.x authorization code.
The UltraEdit 13.0 works fine with the upgraded code. Is there any known problem with the registration in 13.10?

    Best Regards

I just had the exact same problem!

It seems some registration code for 13.00 are no more valid for 13.10.

Juste send a mail to [email protected] stating your problem, with your registration name and code, and they will send you the new ones.

Not so fast, all 13.x codes are not created equal. I emailed and got this.
        Hello Jim,

Thank you for your message and for your continued use and support of UltraEdit-32. UltraEdit-32 requires an upgrade fee of $24.95/user if the registration is more than a year old as indicated at the beginning of the installation, prior to installation.

Your last paid registration/upgrade was Tuesday, Mar
21 2006 therefore an upgrade fee is required for v13.10.

This provides another year of upgrades.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
I uninstalled and put 13.00a back on for now. Maybe some bug fixes in 13.10 but I haven't noticed any problems with 00a.

That's interesting. I've never seen a new registration code needed for a minor version numbered update before. It used to be a bit of a loophole. I wonder if the loophole has been closed or if there are just some codes that are broken and IDM won't issue new ones for people whose free upgrade period has expired. (Not that I'd expect them to.)

Edit: The install notice states that you need a code for 13.00 or later but I'm guessing that's a misprint as UE prompted me for a new code. I'll guess I'll have to pony up some SPAM; I was just under the one year window when v13 came out.
