Horizontal Split is way too sensitive

Horizontal Split is way too sensitive

I am on a Mac, using UE v2023.0.0.22
I find that very often, when I click on a file tab it seems to instantly split to a new pane. I have to constantly drag the tab back to my main tabs.
I found that what is happening is that if I move the mouse *at all* when I click on the tab, it does this. My hands are not steady, and this happens a lot. Often I'm just choosing a file by clicking on the tab, or maybe trying to manually re-order it.
Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity/timing of this so that I actually have to pull the tab off in order for it to pull out? If not, is there a way to completely disable this feature?
Regards
Ed

UltraEdit for Mac users reported the same issue as posted at: Files Tabs moving Drag and Drop to workspaces?

Please report this issue of UltraEdit for Linux by email to UltraEdit support. The more users of UEX/UEM report this behavior as an issue by email to UltraEdit support, the higher becomes the priority for a fix/enhancement without or with an additional configuration setting.

Users of UltraEdit for Windows do not have this issue. A file tab must be explicitly dragged and dropped over the document window area to split up the workspace and display the files side by side (vertically or horizontally).

I submitted a request via email and was told it was a known issue and under investigation. This is good.
Just need to let you know that it's intolerable, and makes Uedit unusable for me. I have to switch back to Sublime Text until it's corrected.

Found this thread while looking for reports of the issue on UEM / going to go ahead and follow Mofi's suggestion of emailing to report - thanks!

This is a very annoying behaviour. Especially because I was not able to find a way how to "unsplit" the window. Well when I close all the tabs in a section the section is gone, but closing and reopening a file just because the web UI decided I wanted to "split" a window is not ideal.

@mrakomor See the UltraEdit for Linux/Mac power tip Drag-N-Drop Split Pane Editing… Vertical/Horizontal Split Window. Drag the file tab of the file displayed mistakenly in a separate window pane on the right side over the file tabs bar of the window pane on the left side to get all files displayed again in a single document window area.

When I tried to drag and drop the last tab in the split window, it did not move. Well, now it did, but not always. Thank you for the tip. I will see if I find some patterns of it working and not working.
