I have a licensed UEStudio 12.10. When I wanted to replace a string in files, I had two option under Replace Where

    1. Files Listed

    2. Files Open

Now I am unable to see Files Open even though I have a few open files.

    What went wrong?

    Thanks!

Find in Files command supports a search in:
      • Files Listed
      • Open files
      • Favorite files
      • Project files
      • Solution files (only UEStudio)
Replace in Files command supports a replace in:
      • Files Listed
      • Favorite files
      • Project files
      • Solution files (only UEStudio)
As you can see on comparison of those 2 lists, there is no Open files in Replace in Files command.

The reason is quite simple. The Replace command supported always a Replace All in all open files. Therefore it is not necessary that the command Replace in Files supports additionally Open files. The Find command supports in the meantime also a find in all open files. But this find works different than Find in Files command in Open files.

Conclusion: If you want to replace something in all open files, use the Replace command.
