    Hi
I have a problem to type in a backslash \
Everytime when I do that, the window is split into 2 frames.
I have UltraEdit for Mac version 15.0.0.11
    But I think that's a setting problem.
    Can someone help me please?

    Thanks for your help

I'm using only UltraEdit for Windows and therefore the names could be slightly different in UE for Mac.
      • Open Key Mapping in Preferences.
      • Set the input focus with mouse into Press new (multi-)key field.
      • Press the key which should result in entering a backslash character.
      • There should be displayed now in field below with name Current assignment which command is already assigned to this key, perhaps WindowSplitWindow.
      • Select this command in the commands list and remove the key assignment.
If the key pressed to enter a backslash is not assigned to any command in the list of UltraEdit commands, the key is defined most likely in settings of your Mac and UltraEdit is just one of the applications supporting the command from operating system to split the active window.
Best regards from an UC/UE/UES for Windows user from Austria
