I know that a lot of times, folks (myself included) come here to post our problems/issues. I mean, that is what community support is for.
However, I just wanted to take a moment to post a general positive feedback.
I bought a lifetime license for UltraEdit many years ago when they still did that kind of thing - and for UEStudio and for the Mac/Linux versions.
I never much used the *Nix version and only used the MacOS version a little during a brief window when I had a mac for work related things. The product was still very new then and at the time I didn't really fall in love with it on MacOS - it was still way better than the MacOS native options for sure.
Anyway, I've gotten tired of MS Windows recently and decided to get back into MacOS. As I've been configuring my Mac, I knew UltraEdit was one of the tools I just did not want to go without and I installed and activated.
It has been an absolute joy.
I did have to fight /fiddle with the weird way that the keybindings defaulted HOME and END.
(Not sure if this is an artifact of a Windows keyboard or something else, but hitting HOME took me to the beginning of the file instead of beginning of line - whereas Option+Home was needed for beginning of line. Same with END. I quickly remapped those and that's been the only issue.)
It's "just working".
I was able to quickly set up my sites for the FTP and reconfigured the toolbar the way I want it without fuss.
It's just been a truly pleasant experience, and it's helped the Windows to Mac transition go smoothly.
