Rows of data disappear when I insert into a column or delete a column

I am editing a text file with point numbers, northings, eastings, elevations and point codes. The file has only 97 lines in it. If I go into column mode and select the column and delete something in that column or insert something into the column,  most of the rows disappear. If I save the file and re-open it, the columns are there. But if I keep doing other edits it keeps reducing the rows. WHY IN THE WORLD are a bunch of columns disappearing when I edit the file?

It may be some setting or something I'm missing?

Thanks.

I cannot reproduce any issue with making edits (cut, insert, delete, type) in column editing mode on the attached UTF-8 encoded file with DOS/Windows line endings using UltraEdit for Windows v2025.2.0.24 running on Windows 11 25H2 with latest Windows updates.

Please post the version of UltraEdit used by you and the steps to reproduce the issue.

There is published on the UltraEdit latest changes page for UltraEdit 2025.2.0.21 the information:
  • Fixed: Text rendering truncated after column mode editing
Is the latest hotfix version installed?
  • Where is the caret on starting the edit in column mode?
See the line and column number in the status bar at the bottom of the UltraEdit application window.
  • Which keys are pressed next or which pointing device (mouse) actions are executed next by you?
  • Do you use one of the special column mode commands like Insert/fill columns, Cut columns, Delete columns, Insert number?
  • Which user interface mode is used by you?
There are the ribbon mode, the toolbar/menu mode with contemporary menus, and the toolbar/menu mode with traditional menus?
  • Which document window mode is used by you? File tabs without or with dockable windows?
Are there used normal document windows or maximized document windows on using dockable windows?
  • Which UltraEdit theme is used by you? (Slate, Sterling, Classic …)
