I see they released version 2025 for Mac, however when I go to Help/Check for updates it says no updates available. Does anybody know if I need to download the new version from the website instead of using the update feature? Any help is appreciated.
You answered your question already by yourself. The new version of UltraEdit for Mac must be downloaded at the moment from the website and then installed manually.
It is typical for a new major release of UltraEdit on any platform as observed by me in the last years for UC/UE/UES on Windows that the new major version is first offered only via the download web page to get installed by "early adopters". UltraEdit, Inc. waits for the feedback of them. If there are no serious issues reported by the "early adopters" related to the new major version after several weeks, the new major release version became available for all customers via the update server. That is the beginning of the massive rollout of the new major version.
